How does Treecom generate short links?
When you submit a URL, our FastAPI backend stores it in a MySQL database and assigns a unique integer ID. That ID is then encoded using Base62 (characters 0–9, a–z, A–Z), producing a short 7-character code. This approach creates over 3.5 trillion unique possible codes — so you'll never run out.
Are my links safe? Does Treecom track clicks?
Treecom does not inject tracking scripts, sell data, or profile visitors. Links redirect cleanly with no intermediary ad page. We do not share your original URLs with any third party. The service is privacy-respecting by design.
Do short links expire?
Links generated on Treecom do not have a built-in expiry. They remain active as long as the service is running. There is no time limit on how long your short links stay valid.
